Q. What is the correct purge pressure setting for my dryer?
A. 1) See TW TWP chart 2) I need information on TX Dryers 3) I need information on TL Dryers
Q. What is the correct desiccant charge for my dryer?
A. 1) See chart for TWB series 2) See chart for TWP series
Q. My heated dryer is tripped out on a "Blow Down" alarm, how do I rest it and what is the cause?
A. The most common cause of this alarm is a clogged muffler. Before resetting the alarm, remove both mufflers. The mufflers should be safe to remove while the unit is in operation. The blow down alarm closes the exhaust valves, protecting you from high pressure air. The unit can be reset by pressing the alarm reset button on the front panel. If the alarm does not reoccur after the mufflers have been removed, its time to replace the mufflers.
Q. There are no lights on my board even though I have power going to it. What is the problem?
A. Check the fuse on the control board. If its blown, replace.
Q. My unit has a high pressure drop across it. Why?
A. Check the pre and after filter elements for any restrictions.
Q. Why is air leaking from the vent port on one of my control solenoids?
A. This leak is most likely due to a faulty diaphragm on the inlet or exhaust valve solenoid. If the diaphragm checks out "ok", then the solenoid may be dirty or defective.
Q. There seems to be a large amount of desiccant dust clogging my mufflers and after filter element. What is causing this?
A. Manually step (heated dryers only) or wait until the unit reaches the re-pressurization step. Make sure the dryer is coming up to full pressure at the completion of the re-pressurization, if it isn't; then the re-pressurization solenoid is either dirty or defective. If the solenoid checks out ok, then the dryer may be being pressurized too quickly when being brought online. Make sure that the dryer is pressurized slowly when being put online.
Q. My dryer is tripping an Over-temp Alarm, What causes this to happen?
A. For TWB models check that the blower intake element and the muffler for any restrictions. On TWP models check the purge pressure to make sure that it is set properly.
Q. What is causing my dryer to have a high dew point temperature as well as moisture downstream?
A. On TW and TWP models check the purge pressure is set correctly. For all models check the drain for proper operation. Make sure the inlet temperature is not exceeding the dryer specifications (see serial label). Make sure the mufflers are not restricted. To check for restricted mufflers make sure no back pressure is building up in the tower that is regenerating.
