Airtek Mist Eliminators remove water and oil from compressed air utilizing “depth of bed” coalescing technology. By using a bed depth 24 times greater than conventional filters, the Mist Eliminator achieves 100% efficiency in removing particles larger than 3 microns and 99.8% efficiency in removing contaminants down to 0.1 micron. Over the 10-year average expected life of the Mist Eliminator element, the average pressure drop is only 0.5 PSID. Unlike conventional coalescers, the efficiency of the Mist Eliminator improves as air flow decreases. This “turn down” efficiency is an often overlooked, but important factor in the overall efficiency of a filter in a fluctuating compressed air system.
